Down By The River takes place on Treaty 6 Territory, the traditional land of the Nêhiyaw (Cree), Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Dene, and Nakota Sioux peoples. We acknowledge and respect the deep history of these lands and the Indigenous communities who have cared for them for generations.
As we come together to experience music, art, and community at Louise McKinney Riverfront Park, we recognize the ongoing presence, contributions, and resilience of Indigenous peoples. We are committed to fostering a space of inclusion, respect, and reconciliation.
We celebrate creativity and connection on this land, honouring the past, present, and future of the Indigenous communities who continue to shape it.
